Day 1:  Drive to Awash National Park (235km)

Drive to Awash National park with a morning stop at Debre Zeit crater lake to look for the Black-winged lovebirds, Black-billed barbets, Blue-breasted bee eater, Beautiful sunbirds, Black headed batis, Red-knobbed coots and cormorants.

Afterwards drive to the Awash National park to have a game drive inside the park. The Park is home to different birds and mammals such as different kinds of bee eaters, Arabian, buff crested and Hartleub’s bustard, Egyptian Vulture, Wire tailed Swallow, Purple Grenadier, Red billed Quelea, Helmeted Guinea fowl, Eastern Grey-plantain eaters and kingfishers are few of the 460species of birds in and around the National park.

Mammals found in the National park include Lions, Leopards, Beisa Oryx, Black backed Jackal, Greater & Lesser Kudus, Striped Hyena, Wild Cat and Warthogs. Dinner and overnight Hotel or lodge.

Day 2:  Drive back to Addis Ababa (235km)

Morning free time in the National Park to see the water falls before you drive back to Nazareth for lunch. P.M. After lunch, drive back to Addis and visit one of the crater lakes at Debre Zeit.
