Rock-hewn churches of Tigray, Walled City of Harar and some of Ethiopia’s very unique animals and birds such as the Ethiopian Wolf.

Day 01:      Morning arrival in Addis Ababa, city tour of Addis.

Day 02:      Morning flight to Mekele with ET, drive further north to visit the rock-hewn churches
of Tigray.

Day 03:      Full day around the Gheralta Mountains to hike/trek and visit some of the rock hewn
churches of Tigray.

Day 04:      Drive back to Mekele and afternoon flight back to Addis. Have an evening connecting flight to Diredawa in the East.

Day 05:      Morning drive to Harar and visit the walled city.

Day 06:      Drive to the Awash National Park to see some animals, birds and water falls.

Day 07:      Scenic drive to the Bale Mountains through Assela. Spend some time around the park headquarters to see some interesting wildlife. Hotel in Goba.

Day 08:      Excursion to the Saneti plateau where you will see the Ethiopian Wolf and some other animals and birds. You will also drive/hike to Tulu Dimtu, Ethiopia’s second highest mountains (4377m). Hotel in Goba.

Day 09:      Drive back to Addis through the Rift Valley lakes, home to so many birdlife. Evening departure back home.
